Halloween Coasters - Ghost

Crochet ghost coaster for Halloween with free pattern


Next piece of my Halloween Coasters series - Ghost. He is the only one with the different base of coaster, but it's very easy to make if You will follow the pattern









Materials:


  • white, black yarn ( I use the yarn which gauge is 24.0 to 30.0 sts = 4 inches )
  • a bit of white material for eyes.
  • hook 3 mm

Pattern:


Coaster/Body:

white yarn

R1. Start witch 3 ch in MR (pic.1), then make 11 dc in MR, end by making ss in 3-rd chain (12 dc I am counting 3 ch as first dc)

R2: 3 ch, dc in same ch as 1-st ch, *2 dc in 1* around, ss in 3-rd ch (24 dc)

R3:  3 ch, dc in same ch as 1-st ch, * dc, 2 dc in 1 * around, ss in 3-rd chain (36 dc) 

R4: 3 ch, dc in same, *dc 2, 2 dc in 1 * X7, * sc, inc * X5, ss in 3-rd chain ( 30 dc, 16 sc)

R5: 3 ch, dc in same, *dc 3, 2 dc in 1* X9, 2 dc in 1, 2 dc in 1, sc 14, 2 dc in 1, 2 dc in 1 ( 55 dc, 14 sc)

R6: 1 ch, * sc 4, inc * X9, 3 ch, ss in 2-nd ch, sc in 3-rd chain, ss, *sc, 3 ch, ss in 2-nd ch, sc in 3-rd chain, ss * X11 FO

On the bottom of coaster we have 12 protruding folds which I marked red in the pattern.


Eye - make 2

black yarn

R1: 6 sc in MR, ss in first sc you made to fasten the circle (6) FO


Arms - make 2 

white yarn

R1: 8 ch (8)

R2:  sc 7 starting from the second chain from the hook (7)

R3:  turn and sc 7 on the other side of the chain from R1,(7) FO



Hands - make 2 

white yarn

R1: 4 ch (4)

R2: starting from the second ch from the hook make sc 3 (3)

R3: 4 ch (4)

R4: sc 3 (3)

R5: 4 ch (4)

R6: sc 3 (3)

 after this steps you should have 3 fingers

R7: turn and sc 4, ss  (5) FO - I make one sc on top of the first finger from the hook, sc 2 in the second finger, sc and ss in the third one.


Below You can see all of the ghost parts.


Start by cutting small dots from white material and sewing them to the eyes. Sew mouth, then eyes. Firstly I would sew hands to arms and then arms to body.
